Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include in your message.

Game data on your device

Our games save your progress and settings on your device. We don't receive this data. If you play on Steam with Steam Cloud turned on, Valve stores a copy so you can continue on another computer.

Information collected by platforms and partners

When you play our games or visit this website, the companies that operate the platforms and services we use may collect information under their own privacy policies:

  • Valve (Steam) handles purchases, Steam Cloud, and other Steam features. Valve shares sales reports with us that don't identify individual players. See the Steam Privacy Policy.
  • Google (Google Play) handles purchases on Android. If you've allowed your device to share usage and diagnostics data, Google Play may send us crash reports and performance statistics, which don't include your name or contact details. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdMob provides ads in the free versions of our mobile games, as described in Advertising.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Website analytics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records which pages are viewed, the site that referred you, and general information such as your country, browser, and device type. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites, and doesn't build a profile of you. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Our games don't include analytics or tracking tools of their own.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and fix our games and this website
  • Understand how many people visit this website and which pages they view
  • Reply to your messages and support requests
  • Deliver purchases and unlock what you've paid for
  • Show ads in free versions of our games
  • Protect our games, this website, and our players from fraud and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

Advertising

Free versions of our mobile games may show rewarded ads. You choose whether to watch a rewarded ad, and you receive an in-game reward when you do. Our games on Steam don't show ads.

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure their performance, and prevent fraud, Google may collect information from your device, including:

  • Your device's advertising ID
  • Your IP address and the approximate location it indicates
  • Device information such as model, operating system, and language
  • How you interact with the ads you see

Depending on your choices and where you live, Google may use this information to show you personalized ads. Google explains its practices in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Your ad choices

  • If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from inside the game.
  • Where required by state law, you can opt out of personalized ads.
  • On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings.

Purchases

Purchases, including in-app purchases such as removing ads, are processed by Valve on Steam and by Google on Google Play. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made so we can deliver it, but we never receive your card number or other payment details.

How information is shared

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for money. We share information only:

  • With the service providers and partners described in this policy, so they can provide their services
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our players, us, or others
  • As part of a merger, sale, or transfer of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to information we hold
  • With your permission

Retention and security

We keep emails only as long as needed to help you and for our ordinary business records, then delete them. Game data stays on your device until you delete it. Platforms and partners keep information according to their own policies.

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our games and this website are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your rights and choices

  • Game data. You can delete your progress by uninstalling the game or deleting its save. On Steam, you can also turn off Steam Cloud for the game.
  • Ads. You can manage ad personalization using the choices described in Advertising.
  • Access and deletion. You can ask what personal information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@playjunkdrawer.com. We'll respond within the time required by the law that applies to you.
  • Your state or country. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to data portability, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, or to appeal a decision about your request. We won't discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal information to provide the games and services you request, with your consent for personalized ads, for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our games, and to meet legal obligations. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

International users

We're based in the United States. If you use our games or this website from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our partners operate, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on this page or in our games before it takes effect.
